Strange but true, chassis number 1 was affectionately known as the "dustbin". It was first registered in 1991 to Costin Ltd on a Q Plate. Its chassis is the same as later designs but incorporates some modifications for the Mini 998cc engine. It was essentially a test bed for the suspension steering and general drivability of the Costin Sports Roadster.

We decided to do a light restoration on the car and it made it  back onto the UK roads in June 2008. Its been very useful to us already.

We have taken a mould off the seats for use in the roadster.
