Strange but true, chassis number 1 was affectionately known as the "dustbin". It was first registered in 1991 to Costin Ltd on a Q Plate. Its chassis is the same as later designs but incorporates some modifications for the Mini 998cc engine. It was essentially a test bed for the suspension steering and general drivability of the Costin Sports Roadster.

We hope to clean it up and get it back on the road, the information this vehicle will provide us will be invaluable in producing the finished Roadster.

Well I can report some good news that the "Dustbin" passed its MOT, we are now taking a mould off the seats for use in the roadster, once thats done it will get taxed and used.
