1962 Marcos GT Gullwing HOO 144's frontal appearance clearly shows Frank Costin's engineering and stylistic thought in the aerodynamic front edge and radiator opening. The headlamps were moved outwards from Costin's original design by Dennis Adams beginning in 1961. As the Marcos' monocoque chassis is made of plywood, the entire underside of the car consists of one long smooth sheet of wood, making this car a true "flat-bottomed" race car with minimal wind resistance.
