Pricing Details

We currently offer the Costin Roadster to enthusiast car builders and racers directly available from stock, we have bodies and chassis starter kits on the shelf. just come to our workshop  decide on the spec and take it away, its important to stress that even a self build car will be badged as  a genuine Costin not a replica or a kit car, provided you use the original body, chassis and suspension and stay within the design boundaries, you will have a piece of motoring history, most Costins find there way onto the race track. Frank Costin was involved in the design of some very significant cars, Vanwall, Lotus, Lister Jaguar, March, Maserati and DTV. There is a direct relationship between this car and the  iconic cars mentioned above, have a look at the forum.

We manufacture the suspension components in house and keep them in stock. We also have a large stock of donor parts used on the Costin Roadster assembly on site. There is a detailed parts list of all the components needed to finish construction with manufacturers part numbers thats made available to customers.
So what do you need to build a Costin, although all the parts can be bought off the shelf one of the most economical routes  would be to aquire a donor Rover MGF, this car yields nearly 80% of the parts you need to construct the car.
An alternative Engine Transmission could be the Honda VTEC as we have sourced rear hubs to accomodate the Honda driveshafts. Also been looking at Ford splined rear hubs to utilise there engine and gearboxes.

We can also supply a race spec version with lighter body and chassis plus full cage etc.

MGF Parts
K Series Engine, Gearbox, Driveshafts. Rear Hubs, Discs, Calipers. Gear Linkage, Handbrake Linkage. Wiring Loom, Instrument Panel, ECU's column stalks. Complete List Here
Accident dameged MGF's can be picked up for under a £1000 pounds.

The Build
The Costin Roadster was originally developed as a production car, since its original design new components have come onto the market and we have utilised these in the construction. We would be happy to discuss the construction with prospective  purchasers and give an honest opinion of the work involved.
We estimate a car can be constructed on a budget of £10k based on a MGF donor route included in the price.

Other Options
We are happy to quote for a Turnkey solution, and can also supply a fully Rolling package with some of the make specifice parts supplied and fitted. We also offer a full glass pack, the windscreen on the Costin is a bespoke item.
We have currently been looking at an Electric Drivetrain option on the Costin, its aerodynamic shape means it would make an effcient EV.

Overseas Enquires
For customers based in the US its come to our attention the the Pontiac Fiero may make a good donor car as the 84 -87 model has the correct front uprights and is a mid engined car, this car was also available in Austrailia and specialist shops still support it.

Coupe Version

It would be a long way into the future before we could seriously consider this but thought it worth publishing anyway.
